Yes. Every teacher on our roster is a native English speaker from the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Canada or South Africa. We do not hire non-native teachers, even highly fluent ones, because pronunciation modelling and natural idiom use are core to what we do.
Every teacher holds a university degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (CELTA, TESOL or TEFL) or at least three years of equivalent classroom experience. Most also bring professional experience from HR, healthcare, finance, recruitment or marketing.
Yes. You can browse teachers on this page and request a specific one when booking. If your chosen teacher is unavailable at your preferred time, our team will suggest two or three teachers with similar specializations.
Yes, at any time. For each individual lesson, you pick the teacher you want. You can vary or keep the same one for all your lessons.
Yes. Several teachers specialize in exam preparation. Filter for “exam prep” when booking, or mention your target exam (and target score) in the free trial lesson so we recommend you the right person.
Live English classes take place online on Zoom or Google Meet. You receive a link by email before each lesson or access it in the Member Area. Group sessions in the Live English Club use Zoom.
Most of our teachers speak only English in lessons by design, which accelerates speaking confidence. That said, several teachers understand French, German, Spanish or Italian and can translate a word in a pinch. Tell us your native language at booking if this matters to you.
